At the 2019 AutoMobility LA show, Hyundai presented its newest concept vehicle, the Vision T Plug-in Hybrid SUV. This is the seventh concept car in a series from the Hyundai Design Center, focusing on a Sensuous Sportiness global design language Hyundai has been evolving over the years.
At first glance, the Hyundai Vision T Concept is stunning. With a matte-green exterior finish and edgy, geometric angles it makes a formidable impression.
The sleek silhouette paired with masculine wedge lines move with an aerodynamic flow across the body, starting with the intelligent and stylish grille. Stationary while the Hyundai Vision T isn’t moving, the grille opens up individual cells within the design scape, moving in a prescribed sequence while in transit. It not only looks good, but optimizes airflow to the powertrain aiding the already ecofriendly and fuel efficient Plug-in.
The headlights are a whole other showstopper. The Hidden Signature Lamps create almost geometric feathers, resting with a chromium appearance and then transforming at the push of a button to become functional lighting.
Wicked oversized satin chrome alloy wheels complete the modern feel, with plenty of negative space for a bold and athletic look.
Not much else is known yet about the plug-in hybrid concept outside of its 110.4 inch wheelbase and 67.1 in. height. The Vision T would be a wonderful addition to the current Ioniq and Sonata plug-ins, where we would hopefully see what the new powertrain is truly capable of. We hope to see whatever comes of it soon at Gossett Hyundai South!
