Jason Bateman and Hyundai have teamed up for the automaker’s “Better Drives Us” campaign, with Bateman taking on the role of the new voice of Hyundai in a series of advertisements for both the digital and broadcast media.
Hyundai reached out to Bateman after his previous marketing work with Hyundai earlier this year. The “Better Drives Us” slogan comes from the Hyundai philosophy “we make things better” first used in 2016.
The “Better Drives Us” ad spot, which clocks in at 60 seconds long, talks about the Hyundai focus on people. Jason Bateman tells us about the brand’s commitment to creating loyal customers through exceptional quality of design, service, safety, and utility for families.
So far Hyundai has put out the longer “Better Drives Us” commercial as well as several 15- to 30-second ad spots focusing on different aspects of the Hyundai lineup, like its warranties, safety, and seven electrified vehicles. All the ads end with the statement, “Better is only better when it puts people first.”
Developed with agency of record INNOCEAN USA, The Dark Knight cinematographer Wally Pfister, and music from hit band Cold War Kids, the campaign is a group creative effort bringing in top talent from around the country to create ads that feel just as familiar and high-quality as Hyundai vehicles themselves.
